This is the first of two field experience courses in which participating
candidates will teach at least one section of PMI Mathematics to students. This
field experience serves as an applications-based opportunity for students to
engage in developing a deeper understanding of the mathematics content and for
practicing the methods and pedagogy related to quality teaching of the PMI
framework. Field experience participants will work with their mentor to become
acquainted with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for the
application of complex components of quality teaching, particularly of the
content learned in MET-6101, MATH-6401, MATH-6403, and concurrently explored in
MATH-6405.
